Yoga & Qigong I Teach:
What is Yoga?
Yoga is an ancient practice that originated in India over 5,000 years ago, blending physical postures, breathwork, and meditation to cultivate balance and harmony between the mind, body, and spirit. Rooted in philosophy and self-awareness, Yoga was developed as a spiritual discipline to achieve inner peace and enlightenment. Today, it has evolved into various modern styles.
I teach and specialize in Yin, Vinyasa Flow, and Senior Chair Yoga.
Yin Practice
Yin Yoga focuses on deep, meditative stretching and holding poses to release tension and enhance flexibility mainly working on connective tissues.
QiYo Practice
QiYo is a holistic mind–body practice that blends gentle Qigong movements, yoga-inspired stretches, breathwork, and mindfulness to cultivate balanced energy (Qi) throughout the body. It emphasizes slow, flowing motion paired with intentional breathing to release tension, improve circulation, and restore harmony to the nervous system.
The benefits of QiYo include increased flexibility and balance, reduced stress and anxiety, improved joint mobility, enhanced mental clarity, and a deeper sense of calm and vitality—making it especially accessible and supportive for all ages and ability levels.
Chair Yoga Practice For Seniors
Chair Yoga For Seniors is a gentle, accessible form of yoga designed specifically to support older adults or individuals with limited mobility. Using a sturdy chair for stability, participants can safely perform stretches, breathing exercises, and mindfulness practices without the need to get down on the floor. This style of yoga helps improve flexibility, strength, balance, and circulation while reducing stiffness and joint pain. It also promotes relaxation, mental clarity, and emotional well-being, making it an ideal practice for seniors seeking a safe and uplifting way to stay active and connected to their body and breath.
